18th Century Flame Mahogany Painted Dial Long Case Clock
This late Georgian long case clock has a flame mahogany case with a painted dial.
There is some lovely inlay along the case, particularly to the corners of the base of the case.
There are two verre églomisé (gilt glass) panels set into the hood.
The dial is white, with hand-painted roses in the arch, either side of the strike/silent lever. There is gilt trim to the corners and calendar aperture. The dial also has Roman and Arabic numerals.
The clock has fretwork trim above the door.
The movement is an eight-day rack strike.
