18th Century Oak Longcase Clock
A George III oak cased eight-day longcase clock.
Late 18th century, the four-pillar rack and bell striking movement with 11.75 inch brass break-arch dial with star decorated subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture beneath a matted centre within an applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with Arabic five minutes. The corners are decorated with a Four Seasons pattern spandrels beneath silvered boss signed 'Raph' Tone, Denmead'. The case as a whale-tail pediment and fluted columns to the hood above break-arch trunk door and a plain plinth base.
The clock is 82" high,
19" wide and
