Tell us what your expectations are, it is all about your choice

We deal with a lot of vintage timepieces where the owners all have different levels of conservation preferences, therefore we cater for the everyday person to collectors and everyone in-between. Everyone has diverse tastes. If there is any thing you would like us to be mindful of, please advise us during the booking in process.

Sometime just circling a mark you want to keep or remove can be highlighted with a sharpie pen. We just like to know what your exceptions are. We want you to be happy and everyone has different expectations. Our motto is “we can always do more, but we can’t put back what’s been removed”

What else do we offer?

Valeting Service: We can make your watch look the same as it did when you first bought it, through our on-site valeting service. This includes watches with a two-tone finish (polished/brushed steel etc).

Our watchmaker has had many years experience in the refurbishment of watch cases and bracelets. NB: A LIGHT valet is included in the cost of an overhaul. If your watch is gold or chrome plated it most likely cannot be refinished.

Dial Restoration: Over time, particularly with older watches, dials can become discoloured and/or damaged through moisture/steam seeping into the case and damaging the lacquer/paint. We can fully restore your dial, bringing it back to its original style. Or if you fancy having a customised dial to make your watch stand out this can also be an option.

Glass Replacement: We can replace most types of watch glass (mineral or sapphire). Due to the wide variety of glasses available, we would need to see your watch to determine the correct glass. NB: Glass replacement is NOT normally included in the cost of an overhaul.

Battery Replacement: We stock Renata batteries, an industry favourite. We have a large selection covering most older watch models. Battery replacement costs between £10-25 depending on the make and style of your watch.

Vacuum Testing: We pressure test all water resistant watches when we change batteries. We call this a "seal health check" mainly because we haven’t replaced the seals, which is what most shops will charge you the £60-100 for. If your watch is less than 5 years old or you've only had it serviced in the past few years, chances are you don't need the seals changing. Our vacuum-pressure tester will give us an indication of their condition. Obviously if you use your watch regularly for swimming, we advise having your seals changed every year.

Resealing and vacuum testing for watches over 5 and 10ATM they will undergo what is known as a "wet and dry test" to the manufacturer's standard of pressure and have all the seals changed. This is the only way to have a warrantee of water resistance. This can cost typically between £40-£80 depending on the cost of your replacement seals or the number of pushers and buttons you have.

Strap Replacement: We have a wide selection of Hirsh and Condor leather, fabric, vegan and silicone straps, in a variety of colours and styles in store. We carry a size range of 6mm to 26mm. We also have a stock of the old Unifix straps, as well as cocktail straps in a variety of sizes.

Bracelet adjustment: We have the tools and skills required to adjust the bracelet on your watch. We can also order in extra links for a wide variety of watch types. Depending on how busy we are, this is normally a "while-you-wait" service.

The cost of an overhaul includes a 20% allowance for parts. Should the cost of parts exceed this amount, the customer will be advised prior to the additional work being carried out, and will be charged accordingly.
